THEY CAN'T GET INSIDE YOU

They can make you say anything - anything – but they can’t make you believe it.

There is a saying old says that hope is the last thing we loose, but what happens when we don’t have anything? What happens when there is nothing to live for? To fight? To wake up every morning? To be happy?

In that moment nothing Is important and everything is irrelevant, you’re empty. Thereso, which es the reason for the people who lives in Oceania (London) to be? They live exclusively for the Party; they just love THE BIG BROTHER. They are nobody.

Apparently this can seem just an unnatractive fiction system, but in fact it is as real as you and me. Among the humanity history there have been many Big Brothers rolling all over a country with goodthinkful population. For example in China, Cuba, Russia, South Chorea, … What do these countries have in common? They are/were communist, a similar system as the one used in George Orwell’s book. The main points of this system are:

- No social classes or State

- Same rights and obligations, as well as economic status

- No private possessions

- The Government has all the control over the economy

By the way, it may be a good system if the leaders were not corrupted, if everyone agreed their decisions and justice was not hidden in some forgotten place.

On the other hand, the quotation I chose is not true, as many of the story details, “they” can get inside you, they mostly do, with pain, fear, incomprehension, … in the end, people falls, their ideas are not there any more, just as in Winston’s case, who ends crying of joy because his private fight has ended, because he finally loves BIG BROTHER.

"PEOPLE JUST DISAPPEARED"

As everybody knows “the energy is not created or destructed, just changed”, this means that the total amount of energy in the Universe remains constant over time, no matter what. Then is it possible that an ancient star whose life finished many millions of years ago has still a part in someone’s body? Impossible at first, but it is true! Does It happen the same with the amount of mass? Is it possible to physically disappear ? If you’re not an electron inside an atom changing your cape position, it is physically impossible. Then, what is this sentence talking about?

For someone who has read “1984”, the first thing that comes to our mind is the action of “vaporizing”, I have chosen a quotation of the text that describes pretty well the meaning of this word. Here it is:

It was always at night – the rough hand on your shoulder, the light in you face. People just disappeared, always during the night. Ad then your name disappeared, your existence was denied and then forgotten. You were, in Newspeak, vaporized.

Awesome, is not it? If by any reason the Party (the unique organization of people with the same political aims in the book) thought you where a dissi

dent, you were immediately a fish out of the water which had to be thrown down the toilet. Moreover, your existence has always been a beautiful dream of one night and by that time it had already finishes, your life was gone.

Thereso the objective of this method was to keep the population under control by frightening them to the point that they can not act, think, feel, if BIG BROTHER does not say so, in other words they automatically became white sheep without own ideas. The perfect control system.

Nevertheless, on the other hand of the herd, there are the grey and even black sheep, longing to do something to keep them alive, to change the system as well as the society minds, but in the end, Jorge Orwell lives a message as clear as, there is no way to change the system.

TWO AND TWO MAKE FIVE

I't's well known that mathematics are universal and thereso its are the same in the earth planet, in the moon or in the most isolated planet of the Universe. For example, 2+2=4, it's always four and not any other number. Then, why says the tittle that the result is five?

First of all we have to take in account were is it written, in the book “1984” by George Orwell. Once we know that, this sentence starts having a little bit of sense. The story's book takes place in London, Oceania, and the power that raises is a totalitarism. Do you know which are the main characteristics of a totalitarian system?

- The state recognizes no limits to its authority.

- Regulate every aspect of public and private life.

- A lot of propaganda campaign

By the way, on the story Big Brother is always telling everybody how to behave, what to say even what to dream and the Though Police applies the laws and punishments to the dissidents, that may be or not. Furthermore, Big Brother is always truth and as consequence if he says rabbit fly you will do belief those animals can really fly, or if he says you're name is Charlie and you are called Jack, your name from that moment has always been the same, Charlie. If we follow this reasoning method, is there any real memory? Any true fact? No, there is not, so if the lider says that two and two make five, you agree.
